{Travel Style} Florence

The details are coming together for our trip to Italy in May which means my attention is now focused on what to pack. We rarely check bags when we travel and don't plan on checking any for our trip to Italy so I will be packing neutral clothes that I can layer and get a few outfits out of. Comfort will be key with comfortable shoes being top priority.

In doing some research I am planning on packing for early spring weather (mid-60's) a light coat/jean jacket, cardigans, long sleeve dresses, a few scarves etc.

Now I am just waiting for a few sales to scope up all of the items below.

Five on Friday

1) Have you heard the news? A new Dr. Seuss is being released in July! I grew up reading Dr. Seuss books so I am excited to see a new one out.

2) I think my biggest challenge in decorating my home is coming up and sticking with a design plan for the whole house so things flow. What better way to get advice than from an expert like Emily Henderson!

3) I thrive when I am busy and productive.

4) It is always nice to step back and be reminded that things could be worse. 20 Signs You're Doing Better Than You Think You Are.

5) Bake goods are essential in life, add peanut butter and I am sold. These Peanut Butter Blondies had me at hello.

Have a great weekend!

{Travel} Florence

Do you ever talk about something so much and it drags out so long you just give up thinking it is going to happen? Well that was me with a trip to Italy we had kicked around for months. My brother in-law is studying aboard and since the summer we had been toying with the idea of meeting up with him at the end of his semester.  But all we basically did was talk about the trip and as we approached Spring I had given up hope it was going to happen.

Well this week details came together, tickets were purchased and accommodation were secured and like that we are heading to Italy with my husbands whole family in the beginning of May.

Little details need to be planned, so if you have ever been to Milan, Florence and Tuscany please share recommendations for sites, restaurants or tips in general. This is my first trip Europe so I am open to all the insights I can get.

Now, time to start planning my perfect European travel ensemble, details on that to come!
