Hi-Lo: Jcrew Jeweled Sandals
Do you ever see something love it but then hold out to long and it sells out? I DO IT ALL THE TIME.... case and point the JCrew Flat Jeweled Sandals in saddle. I loved them but didn't pull the trigger because I have a hard time shelling out $100+ on sandals. Of course, they exploded in the blog world and sold out before I could snatch them up for myself.
I was thrilled when I came across a very similar version from one of my favorite stores.... you know Target for a fraction of the price.
They may just be making it into my suitcase for Europe! Happy shopping!

{Travel Style} Florence
The details are coming together for our trip to Italy in May which means my attention is now focused on what to pack. We rarely check bags when we travel and don't plan on checking any for our trip to Italy so I will be packing neutral clothes that I can layer and get a few outfits out of. Comfort will be key with comfortable shoes being top priority.
In doing some research I am planning on packing for early spring weather (mid-60's) a light coat/jean jacket, cardigans, long sleeve dresses, a few scarves etc.
Now I am just waiting for a few sales to scope up all of the items below.

Wedding Season Dress Guide
As February comes to an end and the save the dates and wedding invitations start rolling in, it is time to scouting out new dress options to carry you through wedding season. Before wedding season is right on top of us I try to think ahead and pick up a few new dresses to carry me through all the amazing events that come along with weddings.

fall is that you?
the calendar may say it is early august, but the temperatures around here are making me feel like fall is just days away. being the sun baby i am, i LOVE summer, but as i have gotten older and moved out of new england i have grown to love fall and miss the quintessential fall weather that new england is known for. luckily for me virginia still does it right, and this fall i am determined to spend some time taking in the beauty of fall in the blue ridge mountains.
with these unusually cooler temperatures, it has been thinking of boots, scarves, flannel, and layers. lots and lots of layers. i am going back to my pinterest boards and pulling out my favorite fall looks that i plan on rocking well into winter!
spiced hard apple cider anyone? i mean the beer industry has already announced fall is here, so why can't i?

spring uniform.
when spring comes around i can be found in pretty much the same standard outfit after work and on the weekends. it always includes sam edelman sandals, 7 of all mankind skinny jeans and an alternative apparel burnout tee. it is the perfect outfit for running errands of getting stuff done around the house.
if you have never checked out sam edelman i highly recommend their sandals, they aren't crazy expensive and last forever and i can't say that about all the sandals i have tried over the years.
do you find yourself throwing on the same outfits despite a closet full of clothes?

a touch of spring color.
i am still under the weather, but was completely inspired by the beautiful picture of flowers i posted yesterday. i am so ready for the weather to start to turn around so that i can break out some killer floral pants, brightly colored skirts and tops.

{fashion} amazing fall finds, at even more amazing prices.
i seem to be doing a lot of shopping lately, but since i am preferring to direct most of my cash towards stuff for the house right now i find myself shopping for clothes in "different" places from my normal j.crew, nordstrom and cusp.
in an effort to pinch pennies in the clothing department this fall i am heading back to stores i haven't frequented in years...but i am LOVING what i am finding!

{the woman behind the brand} tory burch.
did anyone else see the rock center with brian williams last night which featured tory burch?
i have always love tory burch's classic and feminine items, but now after seeing a sneak peak into her world, not to mention her apartment ( holy cow amazingness!!!) i am just so smitten with her.
she is adorable and not to mention an extremely talented designer and fabulous mom.
if you didn't catch it, you need to.
it makes me want to run on over to the tory burch store and stock myself up on all of her fabulousness!

polka dots and leopard, oh my.
i have always loved j.crew since i was in highschool, i forced my mom to buy me some great pieces from there. in recent years i again find myself drawn to their stores. j.crew has definently gotten better with age.
a few months back i even watched a 60 minutes special on mickey drexler and his reinvention of the j.crew brand. whatever he is doing is working because season after season i find myself loving every item.
this season at j.crew, i have been drooling over all the new amazingness. from the chic polka dots, awesome gems, and fabulous blouses, i am envious. if only it could all magically appear in my closet, i would be such a happy girl.
it is great to see a brand not only stick around but thrive. one thing my husband will agree on is, i can't get myself enough.

{fashion} fall classics.
i can't believe it is already september. but with the cooler temperatures comes amazing boots, lots of layers and chic outfits. i can't wait to rock mint skinnies with brown riding boots and whimsy polka dots. oh and how can i forget my favorite new work bag.
my style goals this fall are to pick up new a few new pairs of flats and a new killer pair of riding boots. despite my love for shopping, i loath buying shoes.
at the beginning of last fall, i tossed two pairs of sam edelman flats that i had actually worn holes in. so this fall i am determined to finally replace them. i am thinking my girl tory is on my list.

perfect monogrammed bag.
i normally carry around a very large purse (some would consider it a suit case). it is no joke, but after stumbling across this gem on pinterest, i think need to consolidate. this gigi new york clutch is amazing!
i don't know which i love more the nude sand color or the bright royal blue. i don't think you could go wrong with either. and the gold monogram is heaven.
it also comes in fuchsia, orange, black, white and taupe. maybe one of each? which do you love more?
a new matching work bag, wouldn't hurt either. god knows my longchamp is donzo : )
and speaking of shopping, you better run over to piperlime because it is that time of year again! summer sale time!!! my shopping cart is already full of stuff i have been eying all summer. happy shopping!

honeymoon style.
happy thursday! over the past month i have been looking, and looking for clothes for our honeymoon. we are going to jamaica for 10 days. so i need LOTS of options and i wanted bright beachy clothes.
living next to the biggest mall on the east coast should make shopping easy.... should being the key word. it sounds easy but not so much, after looking and looking i kept turning up empty. though i wanted to get stuff i loved, with everything that goes into a wedding, there is little money leftover for wardrobe.
luckily for me my fiance spoils me, and let me cash in some of his american express points for piperlime gift cards. here are my favorite purchases.

are you there spring?
i am loving this warmer weather in northern virginia, it is heaven! the warmer temps have even allowed me to rock a pencil skirt today with no TIGHTS! i know ground breaking stuff over here but i was happy to not have to layer up today! it has me dreaming or flip flops, shorts and sun dresses...oh my!
i have been dying to break out bright skirts, and neons for work!
and for weekends i am also a fan of keeping it simple.
a pop of color or pattern on the bottom is always a must for me!
and don't forget your accessories! i have this necklace in two colors, black and pink but i need it in turquoise! please matt!
