yesterday i spent the day baking two cakes for easter brunch and of course cheering on the capitals. i settled on a classic coconut cream cake and a Brooklyn Blackout Cake from my new The Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook. i can't wait to try them both cakes today, i will share the recipes once i get the thumbs up from my taste testers.
