it took almost some time battling the traffic out of dc, but at least the sunset was enjoyable.
once we got moving it was smooth sailing from there.
we spent friday vineyard hopping, the leaves held out for us and the views were amazing from benmarl winery and the wine was just as spectacular.
next up we headed over to stoutridge vineyard the wines are all made from ny state sourced grapes. the wines are unprocessed which means they can only be purchased from the winery and are not distributed. luckily i bought several bottles, which i am excited to share at thanksgiving.

buckley loved looking at the view but got a little to close to the edge for comfort a few times.
there is nothing like fall in new england.
it was a great weekend. it is fun having most of my family live on the east coast so they are only a road trip away. i can't wait for christmas in alabama with the whole family, including four dogs, it will be a full house but just like home.
this weekend we will be busy prepping for thanksgiving, hanging our new dining room bling and painting the bathroom. oh did i mention it will be a nice relaxing weekend around here?
enjoy! xoxo
