{recipe} st. patty's chocolate covered pretzels.

happy thursday! i hope everyone is enjoying the weather this week (at least if you are here in the dc area), it has been in the upper 70s all week, and the cherry blossoms are predicted to bloom next week (which is wicked early!) no complaints from me though, i am loving the weather! bring on summer!!

with the amazing weather, i surely thought i was in the clear for making it thru winter without getting sick... of course i thought too soon because i have been struggling all week with a cold and just feeling miserable. hopefully a little sunshine and wine will cure me this weekend!

on to something more festive. st. patty's day.

have you started planning your green cupcakes, cookies, corned beef and cabbage yet? well if you haven't i have the perfect simple recipe to share with coworkers, friends, family but of course they are so good no sharing is allowed too, i won't tell anyone you ate them all yourself! enjoy!

Chocolate Covered Pretzels.

Ingredients
1 large bag of mini pretzels (i like synder's of hanover, but any brand will do)
1 bag White Chocolate Candy Melts (Michael's or any craft store carries them)
Green Candy Sprinkles & Colored Sugar
1 Microwave Safe Bowl
Wax Paper
Directions

1. Using a microwave, melt the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl, stopping every 30 seconds to stir the chocolate.

2. Carefully hold each pretzel, dip it halfway into the melted chocolate. Lay the pretzels on wax paper. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle with candy sprinkles or colored sugar.

3. Allow to dry at least 15 minutes before removing the pretzels from the wax paper.

3. Store in a sealed container in a cool place. Do not refrigerate or freeze because it could cause the appearance of the chocolate to change colors.

the best part about this, is all you need to do with swap out the sprinkles to match every holiday/occasion and you have a perfect sweet treat!

xoxo
