ok so i need some help, i follow A LOT of food blogs and tomorrow night we are having dinner with family and friends and i have volunteered to bake. i have to admit baking as taken a backseat to wedding planning, work and life so i am excited to bake something, and want to be sure it is fun and tasty.
now the problem is deciding what to make.
here are my top three:
this boston cream cake from lick the bowl good. it looks fantastic and it is the perfect no fuss weeknight cake.
with all the fresh strawberry's i bought yesterday at the store, i was thinking this red velvet strawberry shortcake from i am a baker is another great option, and equally as simple for a weeknight baking session.
and since i am feeling adventurous, and want to mix it up i can't seem to shake the idea of whipping up this inside-out neapolitan layer cake from sweetapolita. i am thinking of maybe doing a semi-homemade version, since making meringue just seems too much effort for a weeknight.
don't you feel bad for the terribly hard decisions, i struggle to make in life? they are all on my must bake list, but check back thursday to see which one i decided to bake up!
