{look for less} guest bedroom.

happy thursday! i hope everyone is having a great week. this week i decided to try my hand at a guest bedroom i recently saw and loved on pinterest, it is sophisticated but fun but still formal at the same time. i am loving the mix of chevron, ikat, and traditional pieces like the rug and foot stools. the room really looks like it was layer and built over time which i think it how most rooms evolve, because lets be honest most people don't have the budget to empty out a room and start from scratch.

i tried to really keep costs down for this room, and a lot of the items can from target and other big box stores. i couldn't find the perfect greyish purple bedding but i am sure it does exist. i don't know about you but for a guest bedroom i want my guests to be happy and comfortable, but for a room that is used only a few weekends a year i don't want to drop a small fortune making it that way.

it is important to use what you have, find great deals and make things work.

    Love that rug! We are working on making our 1 bedroom apartment work for baby plus us, so trying to find inspiration wherever I can find it :) You always have great ideas!~Krista
