house update and design board.

happy monday! i don't know about the rest of the country but mother nature has really missed the mark this year in northern virginia. first off we got no snow all winter, and then bam march comes and we have two storms. there is nothing like waking up on a monday morning in march and seeing white.

 buckley was so upset he went back to bed. (no i don't pose him, he does this all his own. i am working on getting otis to be as adorable, he is hiding on the other side of buckleys cave.)

seriously, i wanted snow all winter and it didn't. but now it is spring and i am ready for flip flops, sundresses, and a tan and it is snowing.... why....

on other news, i have been going crazy with design boards lately. i have some serious big dreams that i cannot wait to recreate very soon (more on that to come). in the condo, i was never able to have a true entry area since you walked directly into the living space. i am looking forward to being able to have a true entry one day, and this is exactly what it will look like. i am obsessed.

the best part all of the items are reasonably priced, so i won't be breaking the budget on a room that is just a pass through. though, i do think the entry really sets the tone for your guests so it should make an impact and really say something about the people that live their and their style.

what do you think? any suggests? i went back and forth on the garden stool, particular the color and if i should swap them out for a storage cube that maybe has storage. one thing is for sure the ikea carpet will be making an appearance, i have been drooling over the carpet since i saw it in one of sarah richardson's homes. i loved it then, and then after crazy hunting i found out it was ikea, and then i knew it was meant to be.
