i just can't seem to get enough of anything that contains peanut butter, as i am sure you can tell from my previous peanut butter posts here, here, and here. perhaps i should change the name of my blog to "the peanut butter life"? no worries though, i have plenty more peanut butter recipes where the rest of these came from.
on another note, it is supposed to be in the triple digits again this weekend (why always the weekends?!?!). regardless this weekend is shaping up to be filled with a birthday celebration and a mini jmu reunion! have a safe weekend everyone!
Ingredients
2 tbsps brown sugar
1 1/3 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
7 ounces milk chocolate
4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
1 tbsp butter (reserve for step 2)
Directions
1. Blend together the brown sugar, powdered sugar, butter and peanut butter until it reaches a smooth paste-like consistency. Press into the bottom of a nine by thirteen inch pan.
2. Melt the chocolate with the tablespoon of butter over very low heat (or in a microwave). Pour melted chocolate over the peanut butter crust and stick in the fridge for an hour to harden..
3. Cut into little squares or rectangles and serve.
Note: if you are making these during the summer (or a triple digit weekend like this weekend) store in the refrigerator.
Yields: about 48 small bars
