we purchased our save the dates from minted, an online stationary company which i came across in one of my MANY wedding magazines. we wanted to keep our invitations timeless and classic, so after ordering 30+ samples, we settled on cheree berry paper's "charming go lightly" design in magenta, to go with the pink peonies that will be throughout our wedding.
the save the dates, came with the save the date card, and a stock white envelope which we opted to upgrade to the silver envelope (seen below, sorry the sheen didn't photograph well).
on the envelopes i used a custom stamp i bought of the emilie friday's calligraphy esty shop. i highly recommend this shop, even after my first stamp got lost in the mail thanks to hurricane irene, they promptly sent a new one which came very fast. for ink i used a Colorbox Archival Ink Pad in "wicked black". after doing some research i found archival ink is smudge proof and quick drying which seemed like the best choice. you can find colorbox ink pads at most craft stores.
sorry as much as i love everyone, was not trying to share our address with the world, but you get the idea. |
Materials:
Save the dates and envelopes: Minted
Glassine Envelopes for photos: Arte Stamps on Etsy
Silver Ribbon: The Paper Source
Custom Address Stamp: emilie friday's calligraphy on Etsy

by the way, i never realized how hard it is to take pictures of stationary, getting the color right seemed impossible, hopefully i will perfect it for our invitations! enjoy!
