{recipe} smoothie time.

happy valentine's day! i hope you have a day filled with the love, family and friends! since matt and i aren't big valentine's day people, we are keeping it low key, a nice dinner, wine and cards.

on to more important things, SMOOTHIES! so matt and i agreed that i wasn't supposed to buy anything for the place until after the wedding. but, last week when crate and barrel sent me an email advertising an amazing smoothie blender i could not resist. i am an advertisers dream!

it was a steal, and still is (go get yours), so how could i pass it up.  plus i had been wanting to jump on the smoothie band wagon for awhile but not having a blender was preventing that from happening.

so for the past week i have been smoothie-ing away and am obsessed with my new purchase. it is by far the best blender i have ever used, it is compact, makes smoothies on the go a dream and cleans up easily. what more can a girl ask for?

a little about smoothies for those of you who don't know. many people think of smoothies as a sweet treat, but mixed using the right ingredients they can be chock full of vitamins and minerals. my personal favorite right now is a classic green monster. so whip out your blender and mix one up! enjoy!
