I am not huge into making one big resolution every year, but do believe that everyone should set goals in their life in order to grow as individuals. When I read Jessica's post about "Making 2014 Count" I was excited to join the blog world and making my "goals" known to maybe just maybe put a little more pressure on myself to follow through this year.
In 2014 I want to learn to better balance my goals, ambitious, hopes and dreams better. I want to do things with more consistency and balance in my life (work out, eat better, read more etc.). I am an all or nothing person, I am either training for a 10 milers or letting my sneakers collect dust for months, I either eat salads every day for lunch or randomly snack without any regard.
bal·ance
: the state of having your weight spread equally so that you do not fall
: the ability to move or to remain in a position without losing control or falling
: a state in which different things occur in equal or proper amounts or have an equal or proper amount of importance

I creating more balance in my life, I hope to develop better habits not that become ingrained in me rather than just checking off a tasking. I am constantly moving from one thing to the next, without savoring the simple moments of life.
But most of all I will make 2014 count by living in the moment. By focusing on what is currently around me and not worrying about what the future will bring.
